Kaart is een referentie model Ati 5970 met een EK Acetal waterblok. Geschikt voor G1/4" - 3/8" en 1/2" fittingen.
Manufacturer PowerColor introduced a HD5970 “Hemlock” graphics card with an EK-full cover waterblock ready for watercooling. Both the GPU and memory are set with slightly higher frequencies compared to the reference-speeds.
The new LCS-HD5970 a.k.a the ATI Radeon HD5970 with a full-cover EK-block from the Slovenian manufacturer covering the GPU, memory and surrounding vrm’s. The EK-waterblock has a nickel base and is compatible with the reference HD5970 from AMD. You can connect both the 3/8” tubes as well as the 1/2” which offers a wider compatibility with existing water-cooling-sets.
The GPU from the EK-5970 is doing its calculations at 750MHz and the memory at 4200MHz which is a fair overclock. EK and PowerColor both claim that the waterblock from EK can cool both GPU’s 30 Degrees Celcius cooler compared to the reference model. This model won’t be particularly cheap since EK’s full-cover block already starts at $130, combining that with a $480 for the HD5970 gives us a whopping $610 dollar for the complete bundle. The card will be available as from the 21th of January.
